New York City

This town is so busy - but here are some photos of some not-so-busy moments.

From the top in order: Numbers on a wall or building? I do not know much about this but thought it was interesting - near south street seaport, subway at City Hall, Chelsea Market decorated for Halloween, skyline from the Brooklyn Bridge, and last but not least chairs near the Statue of Liberty.

Celery

This is something I never would think to photograph and yet we were asked to at work today. It was a little nerve racking at first, since we all had to do it, so it felt like a race and I had no clue as to what I was doing! Anyways I would say that it turned out pretty well after all.

When not in a hurry...

It is amazing the things I notice around my house when I don't have to rush out immediately. I actually had a few moments to myself before work...and this is what I saw, the trees in the front yard in my living room.

Look what I found

Can you figure out what it is? There was a fire and this is all that remains of a church in Madison. I got so excited when I spotted this the night before. We had to come back the next day to get this photo.

If in Madison...

You must go here. Amazing food and lots of fun! The interior of the restaurant is just as cool as the outside and good food to boot!

Flowers and a Pug

My sister's dog, I can't help but love this dog. Random flowers around her house.

My Garden

The Results

See another lovely photo here done by my friend.

Feeling a bit like an artist

My sweet friend and I created this contraption that allowed us to take photos through the viewfinder of this old camera with our digital cameras.

The Un-Landscape

This is more of an air-scape.

On My Way

I love taking pictures while in the air.

Fireworks

We went to Duluth this year to see fireworks as we were camping in nearby Jay Cooke State Park. I'm posting this photo just for my sister, let's see if she checks it out before I get to her house!

The Quietness of a Small Town

Here are some images from our trip to Verdigre, NE. It's a quiet, unassuming small town in the sandhills of Nebraska. Time seems to pass by unnoticed here.

Ice on Lake Superior

The ice was piling up along the shore of the lake at Gooseberry Falls State Park. It was incredible to see and hear. The noise from the cracking ice was like nothing I've ever heard. And, yes it was very cold out there.

Pinhole Camera Fun

This photo is about a year old. It took me that long to use the film. This is from the North Shore of Lake Superior.
