The ice was piling up along the shore of the lake at Gooseberry Falls State Park. It was incredible to see and hear. The noise from the cracking ice was like nothing I've ever heard. And, yes it was very cold out there.

how beautiful...i can only imagine how amazing it was...i actually drove past lake erie last evening and thought that i would like to photograph it all frozen over (i cant imagine how cold it is by the lakes). thanks for posting...i feel obligated to pester you about it once in a while (as i also hope you will do for me too)...*hugs*
