There is a lot of truth in that, considering construction starts as soon as the snow melts and ends as soon as it begins to fall again.

The HMS Bounty - has been in a few movies, most recently - Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest. The ship was built a third larger than normal ships to accommodate film crews and cameras.

This is the Pride of Baltimore.

This is below deck on the Pride of Baltimore, a working ship, so the quarters below are tight. I loved the yellow doors and I was very curious to check out this pantry, what caught my eye was all the bags of produce.

I spent the afternoon with my friend and her daughter the other day. She is really into butterflies and caterpillars right now. We were checking the milkweed plants for caterpillars, and we finally found this one at the end of the day. She was so excited.

It keeps raining around here, which means not a lot of sunlight lately. I was thrilled this morning when I saw the sunlight stream across my kitchen table. I kept moving my flowers around so they would catch the light. This ended up being my favorite.

Tomatoes Will Be Coming!

I'm not super thrilled about this image, but I am excited about the fact that both of my tomato plants have flowers on them already! I can't wait til I get some....but I will have to wait probably until August or so.

Two Perspectives

I read a blog the other day about travel photography. After reading it, I thought that I would try some of the ideas out on my photo a day project. This is the same plant, but at two different perspectives. I like them both - but the second image shot looking up at the plant is so much more interesting to me since I normally would have just taken the first photo and moved on.

One Hip Light

I grew up with one of these lights in our house as a kid. I never imagined I would see one in use today - this beauty was painted a shade of purple and hung in our hotel room in Nebraska.
